To the Weaver Orthodontics Family,

We will be available this week, March 23 to March 27 to see “essential”appointments only as directed by Governor Kemp and our state dental board. They are recommending this type of schedule for the next two to three weeks, so we will be hard at work this week contacting those patients scheduled the week of March 30th to a later date. We are so fortunate that most orthodontic appointments can be rescheduled to a later date without any delay in overall treatment time. I am available at any time with questions or concerns. If after hours, please contact me or one of our staff for further instructions at (912) 264-6890.

All the best,

Dr. Weaver

Retention

When we remove your braces, we will begin the retention stage of your treatment. Dr. Weaver uses different types of retainers depending on patient’s specific needs. Retainers can sometimes even be clear or bonded to the inside of the teeth so that they cannot be seen. The retention phase lasts for a minimum of 24 months. Your final orthodontic result depends on your retainers, so follow through with the hard work you’ve put in so far. Remember to remove your retainer before brushing, and brush your retainer before placing it back in your mouth.
